Privacy Policy

BurnOff ("the App") values your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with applicable laws as described below.

1. Information We Collect

This app does not operate a server and does not collect or transmit personal information to external servers. All data listed below is stored only in the device's local storage (localStorage).

1-1. Health Data

This app accesses and uses the following health-related data to calculate Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC):

• Body information — Gender, height (cm), and weight (kg) are entered by the user and used in the BAC calculation formula (Widmark formula).
• Drink records — Drink type, alcohol by volume (ABV), quantity consumed, and time of consumption are entered by the user and used to estimate BAC and calculate sobering time.
• Estimated BAC — Calculated within the app based on the above data and stored only on the device.
• Metabolism settings — Optional user-adjustable settings such as alcohol metabolism rate and empty stomach status.

This health data is used solely for the purpose of BAC calculation and is never transmitted to external servers or shared with third parties. All data is stored only on the user's device and can be deleted by the user at any time.

1-2. Other Information

• Camera — The app accesses the camera for bottle/barcode recognition. Captured images are processed only on the device. (When using PRO features, images may be sent to Google Gemini API, as described in the Third-Party Services section.)

2. Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — The app uses Google AdMob SDK to display advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising IDs and device information. See Google Privacy Policy for details.
• Google Gemini API — For AI camera recognition (PRO feature), captured images are sent to Google Gemini API. Images are discarded immediately after drink identification and are not stored.

3. Data Storage and Deletion

All user data is stored locally on the device only. You can delete all records at any time via Settings > Clear All Data. Uninstalling the app automatically removes all data.

4. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for users under the legal drinking age and does not knowingly collect information from minors.

5. Disclaimer

BAC calculations provided by this app are for reference only and cannot be used as a basis for medical judgment or determining fitness to drive. Actual blood alcohol concentration varies significantly between individuals and may differ from the app's estimates.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, we will notify users through the app or this page.
